Beetlejuice is an american horror comedy film directed by Tim Burton.  It is  about a couple( Alec Baldwin , Geena Davis)  who sadly meets their demise in a car accident. Shortly after this happens what feels like minutes for them is really month’s, soon before they know it there house is being sold to another family with an interesting child in their family (Winona Ryder)  and they are remodelling their house to fit how they believe is normal and to fit their own needs  in a way the ghosts are being haunted by the living which is quite ironic.

 

So the couple decides to enlist the help of a human exorcist  (Michael Keaton) to help get rid of their problem. But there is a catch to get his help you must say his name 3 times.  Personally Beetlejuice is my favorite Tim Burton movie of the many many films that he has made but there is definitely something different about this film for me personally.  

 

Maybe is the wackiness of Beetlejuice himself or maybe it’s the vivid colors and just the dry sense of humor the film has. But all in all it’s a fun family movie and it’s just a great time it’s one of those movies you have to watch every halloween ( Which is exactly what I do).   All in all this movie is a great movie with good character development good pacing and there are virtually 0 plot holes.

Theirs many times in this film where you will burst out crying with laughter because of Beetlejuice and the things that he does, So i am going to give the Film BeetleJuice an -A

Ferris.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a movie about breaking the rules and not following authority.

The Principal Ed Rooney plays the authority figure (antagonist)  that Ferris (the protagonist)

 

Has been fighting against, Ferris is already a smart kid and believes that he shouldn’t be wasting his youth in school learning something he already know when it’s a beautiful day outside and so much to do.

Ferris Bueller has skipped school 9 times and remarkably got away with it each time but it’s getting harder and harder for him to keep doing it so a normal person would think that they should stop but does Ferris think that?  No he will continue to do it and do it with his best friend Cameron who is very very uptight with how he perceives everything and Ferris also decides to take his girlfriend s Sloane from school and bring her on the ride.  This classic is Directed by John Hughes who has created other movie Classics as The Breakfast Club , Sixteen Candles, Weird Science and Pretty in Pink.

This movie is my personal favorite 80’s movie of all time and this movie just makes you wanna go out, live your life and have a good time with your friends and family .  Thats what makes this movie works because it appeals to audiences of all ages and the story is something we can all relate too.

 

Thats why i’m giving movie an A+

BEWARE THE BATMAN

“ To conquer fear you must become fear you must bask in the fear of other men you must become an idea a terrible thought a wraith”

This is a quote from the movie batman begins a movie based on fear itself. In this film Bruce Wayne’s parents were killed before his own eyes at the tender age of 8 years old and the events

 

which took place that night emotionally scarred him for the rest of his life. After this had happened he had taken a vow to fight for the others who can not fight and to strike fear into the hearts of all criminals.  Fear” is the key word in Batman Begins, and the word is used time and again in different circumstances. The theme seems to be the different ways in which fear can be used, even turned against those who use it on others. Al Ghul tells Bruce that in order to manipulate the fears in others, he must first master his own. Thus, of course, Bruce decides to turn his own greatest phobia into the symbol he will become to strike terror into the hearts of criminals: A bat.

  

 Batman Begins has to be one of my top 5 favorite superhero movies of all time.  I also believe it could be one of the best too. One of the major themes of this movie happens to be fear. The thing that i really love about this adaptation of batman is that it shows him as more than just a brooding angry man.  Christian bale gives him so much more emotion than what has been shown before in a movie some things that make this movie about fear is that it’s constantly going back to it with references of Bruce being afraid as a child or with one of the villains in it whose name is scarecrow and drives off of fear.

This movie isn’t just another superhero movie it has a very well written script with a great cast but the characters have great development too thats why im going the give the movie Batman Begins a sold

Doctor strange is a movie about a doctor whose life changes after a car accident takes away the use of his hands. When normal medicine won’t work he looks for a cure in a mysterious enclave. He  learns that the enclave is at the front line of a battle against dark forces bent on destroying reality and the multiverse . Before long  Strange is forced to choose between his life of money and fame or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in ever.

 

Now in this movie things get magical and mystical when a former neurosurgeon embraces the mystic arts to save humanity.  This movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch who plays doctor strange and as far as this casting choice i would say they casted the perfect actor for the role. I would say that Benedict Cumberbatch does for Doctor Strange what Robert Downey Jr. does for Iron Man 

In this film he gives a level of depth and humility to the character and he is believable as a doctor but how he act reminds of Hugh Laurie’s house it almost seems like some of the inspiration for this character seems to be taken from his performance.   The special effects of this movie are extremely mind-bending  they are definitely something unbelievable  if you personally aren’t into superhero movies and you want to see some amazing effects go to this movie it’s amazing  

The pacing in this movie is great nothing really feels to long or to rushed and the subplots aren’t pointless. Rachel Mcdadams character in this isn’t just some pointless damsel in distress she has a specific reason for specific scene in this film.  But I do have a few negatives about this movie and it’s about the villains. Now i love all the marvel film maybe even a fanboy at times but these villains except for one are very forgettable. I am very very excited for the future of this character i can’t wait to see more and to see him go interact with other actors i think that he will become one of marvels biggest money makers for film and after this movie comes out his comic sales will more than likely go up because people will want more of him. But as far as the movie Doctor strange goes he was a character i knew nothing about but i left wanting to see more of him and felt very intrigued by him. So thats why i’m going to give Doctor Strange a  B+

Wealth

As the joker walked up to the table menacingly he leaned over to Harley Quinn and said “Why hello there”.  She soon became afraid and asked if he was gonna kill her and he said “ Oh no I’m not gonna kill ya Im just gonna hurt ya  really really bad”. 

That was a scene from Suicide Squad.  The joker in this movie is unlike anything that we have ever seen before he is wicked and very wealthy he is considered to be a crime boss in gotham that doesn’t have time for anybody else’s problems. The Joker is a power crazed maniac that will do whatever it takes to get what he wants.  There are many many ways to describe this Joker. Many of the things this joker does  set him apart from the previous incarnations of him.  This Joker is definitely the “Clown Prince of Crime”.

 

 

This joker is very unpredictable you can’t tell if one minute he will kill you or the next kiss you but that’s what makes this joker work in Suicide Squad.  He is very wealthy again like a crime lord and demands his respect for everybody the villains are intimidated by Batman but fear the Joker.  This Joker is almost like the godfather he has other villains kiss his ring when they come to him for something. I personally love the Jared Leto portrayed him in this because it not like others it different and it shows the power and wealth that he has and you know that he is wealthy because he even has a purple lamborghini which i think is pretty cool considering all that the joker has had before is just a regular car.

 But what i personally love about this joker is how different he is.  He just has a grotesque  smile thats make you very uncomfortable and light green hair like grass and is covered from head to toe in tattoos that mean something and his teeth have been knocked out and so he has them replaced with metal he also dresses very classy and like to flaunt how much money he has. This Joker is defiantly one that i cant wait to see more of because it going to be really really fun.

Power

Movies and Comics have more power than people may think.   They can tell us to react one way or another just by the actors,  actresses writers and artists that work on them.  Movies and comics  are a form of entertainment and people want to be entertained.  Movies and comics  can also have a specific meaning behind them too such as power , family , love ,faith, lust , rebellion or maybe even chaos. Movies are important because they help shape our society and show us how good or bad it would be in that state. Comic are different because they have life lessons and much more to them they aren’t just a few words and pictures on a page they are much more than that  to many.   There is a high demand for movies and comics  these days so there will more than likely be more than a few movies and comics with messages.   There can be good ones and bad ones but that’s the power of movies.  Some comics are so powerful that they have a a movie made out of them.  Movies like star wars ,MCU ,OR the DCEU movies they all have millions of fans each. People young or old love these because they are entertaining.  There are movies and comics about power also. Many people will love movies and continue to love them for many years to come.  Some comics may even become so popular that they start trends in the real world.  Many people haven’t realized the influence that they have on our modern day society.  I believe that movies and comics  are the glue in the idea of our society.

Some of the latest movies to come out are in the superhero genera and they happen to be dominating the box offices now adays.  There has been a tremendous demand for them by fans in the past few years .  Many of them have been box office hits and many have not.  All in all there are making more money then ever before and will more than likely continue to dominate with more upcoming comic book movies on there way. Many such as Dr. strange, Wonder women , Guardians of The Galaxy vol. 2 , Justice League wolverine 3 ect.
